At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Infinium Labs, Inc. (OTC BB: IFLB) and BIOSTAR® Microtech International Corp., a leading Taiwan-based producer of electronic systems and components, announced that BIOSTAR will manufacture the system hardware for Infinium Labs’ flagship Phantom Gaming Service – the first end-to-end, on-demand, subscription based game distribution service
.“BIOSTAR has a track record for building top quality electronics devices from the highest quality components,” said Kevin Bachus, president, Infinium Labs. “By working with partners like BIOSTAR, we are doing everything we can to ensure that subscribers to our service will get the best possible performance out of the hardware. ”The much anticipated Phantom Gaming Service is slated to launch on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004 and will give everyone in the family access to a compelling library of titles available any time, day or night, in the comfort of their home. Infinium Labs will be demonstrated the Phantom Gaming Service at E3 in Los Angeles, May 2004.
The Phantom Gaming Service receiver will be built in Guang Dong Province, China, where BIOSTAR has a 600,000 sq. ft. production facility. BIOSTAR uses the latest SMT high speed manufacturing equipment in the production line to enhance capacity, supplying more than five million pieces of mainboard products annually.
