BIOSTAR - BIOSTAR M7NCG mATX nForce2 IGP/MCP-T

BIOSTAR MICROTECH INT’L CORP has announced the arrival of the nForce2 IGP/MCP-T based microATX motherboard - the M7NCG.

The specs are near identical to BIOSTAR’s discrete nForce2 motherboard, the M7NCD (nF2 SPP/MCP-T), with the exception of built-in GeForce4 MX graphics, Dolby® digital 5.1-channel audio courtesy of NVIDIA’s APU (Audio Processor Unit), dual-LAN uses MCP NVIDIA MAC + Realtek RTL8201BL PHY (Realtek ALC650 PHY on the M7NCD) and extra I/O ports.

Similar to MSI’s K7N2G nForce2 IGP series, this has just the one VGA port and there’s no SATA or RAID, but they did find room for a CNR slot and, for those who want to upgrade to an external VGA card, an 8xAGP slot. That’s quite a lot of features for a micro-nF2…

It is a complete solution with the powerful GeForce4 MX graphics and the DualDDR memory controller that nicely realizes the DualDDR 400 architecture to a 6.4GB/s bandwidth. Furthermore, you can enjoy the 800 MB/s hi-speed bus between North and South bridges that the incorporated AMD HyperTransport™ brings. Speaking of audio excitements, M7NCG delivers the Dolby® digital 5.1-channel for realtime cinematic 3D positional audio. In addition, AGP8X architecture, IEEE 1394a, USB2.0 and [DUAL] LAN are also included on this graphics motherboard.
