We last looked at a Biostar small form factor when we reviewed the IDEQ 200P. We found it quite capable, and I’ve even been using it for my gaming box for our lan parties. I was happy to hear that they had an updated model IDEQ 210P using the nForce 3 250GB chipset coming. I was a bit disappointed that it was Socket 754, but I’m hopeful we will see a 939 model from them.
…We definitely like the new design of the 210P, and the fact that it now includes a memory reader. We were also happy to see the mini PCI wireless option, and the larger cooling fan. SATA power cables is also a plus, and at under $260 the price is nice. We continue to be happy with room for two hard drives so RAID is possible.
Score: 92
+ nForce 3 250GB!
+ good looking design
+ 802.11 module option
+ low cost
+ 2 hard drive capacity for RAID
- socket 939 version please!
- more bios options needed
