BIOSTAR - BIOSTAR iDEQ 200N Review

Blue Raptor reviews BIOSTAR’s nForce2 based iDEQ 200N (IGP+MCP-T). Having used one of these superb MiniPCs myself, I can honestly say I’m a confirmed convert. They’re portable, good looking, the nF2 iDEQ has great connectivity and they’re very, very quiet. If an SFF suits your needs, a tower rig is just so much excess baggage compared to one of these all-in-one mini PCs.

I would say that BioStar have come as close as you can get to a Shuttle with out being a Shuttle, They really have made a great product which is not only easy to setup and use is also relatively cheap at £196.23 in the UK from Umtim8pc The Features of the unit make is must for any one who needs a small, portable, powerful PC to take with them. Modding wise there is a great deal that can be done to the unit I am planning (with my own of course!!) to put windows in either side and a set of dual 4″ cathodes. This unit is also great for LAN’ers who want something different to turn up with. In the Benchmarks I ran the unit performed just behind it’s desktop counterparts, this is due to the IGP northbridge having to do a little extra work and taking system resources. All things considered the IDeq200N performs excellently and I am certainly planning on a break from midi towers after seeing these little things in action.
