Auzentech HDA X-Plosion 7.1 DTS Connect Sound Card Review

Based on the C-Media CMI8770 audio processor, the AuzenTech HDA X-Plosion 7.1 DTS Connect is the world’s first Dolby Digital Live and DTS Connect certified sound card.

The AuzenTech HDA X-Plosion 7.1 can provide Creative some competition. For gamers, this card supports almost all of the current surround sound API’s, such as Direct Sound 3D, EnvironmentFX, ZoomFX, MacroFX A3D 1.0 Sensuara 3D, and EAX 1.0 and 2.0 (provided by Sensuara). While Creative Labs has the market cornered on the EAX 3 functionality, the advantage of DDL, DTS Connect, and the support for game surround sound API’s will minimize the importance of EAX 3 support. This is especially important if you use your computer for entertainment purposes other than games.
