ATI Technologies Inc today announced that its FireMV 2D professional workstation series of graphics cards will be available in HP workstations to help ensure a stable and reliable experience for corporate customers.
The FireMV graphics cards were thoroughly tested on a variety of different parameters and have successfully passed all tests. End users employing these graphics cards for mission-critical work in the financial services, dispatch and distribution industries now have a critical endorsement that they can rely on as a barometer for the quality of FireMV graphics cards. With FireMV graphics, customers in the financial service market are able to choose a solution that provides them a low-profile design with a multi-view software interface.
Available in both PCI and PCI Express configurations, both the FireMV 2200 and FireMV 2400 are low-profile graphics accelerators featuring 64MB and 128MB of memory. The FireMV line leverages ATI’s experience with low-power high-performance mobility devices to offer fanless solutions for increased product lifespan and reliability without compromise of quality.
"When we introduced the FireMV lineup of cards we promised that end users would be rewarded with a stable and reliable solution that ensures system compatibility and investment protection," said Dinesh Sharma, Director, Workstation Products, ATI. "As a part of a larger ATI corporate solution, the FireMV products have been designed to leverage ATI’s strengths in image quality, low power, performance and stability making them an ideal solution for the 2D market and delivering on our promise to our customers."
"HP is a leading provider of workstations for financial trading firms and our aim is to continue that leadership with innovative new solutions that solve problems that these customers are facing," said Will Wade, Worldwide Workstation Graphics Product Manager, HP. "Most large financial trading firms are running Windows-based dual-processor workstations driving multiple displays on their trading floors today. ATI’s new FireMV graphics cards give these customers an HP tested solution for their environment."
