Asus-Gigabyte Merger to be named Gigabyte Union

The Asustek-Gigabyte joint venture, which was announced on August 8, will be named "Gigabyte Union," according to the Chinese-language Apple Daily. Gigabyte chairman Dandy Yeh will be appointed as the chairman of Gigabyte Union, the paper reported.

Gigabyte declined to comment on the report, but said details of the new company’s organization, which will have more than 300 employees, will be announced in October, the paper indicated.
