Zack Emerick (aka sysfailur) recently posted his ASUS A7N8X
dual-channel memory benchmarks (422mhz) in the forum here: 400mhz
SiSandra benchmark .
Now he’s put all the results together in his ASUS
A7N8X Review @ maximumoc.com. Loads of pics and benchies (and some interesting
volt mods).
Now I’ll also be adding these modifications to the guides
section but to keep everything together I’ll just slap the info here as well :)
On the second day of having this board in my possession, with the help of DDTUNG,
the voltage mod masta, we successfully performed the voltage modifications for
memory and cpu on the A7N8X. 1.85v and 2.8v just isn’t enough now is it? With
these mods you’ll have PLENTY of voltage to fry your parts with! :P The stock
settings give slightly higher than normal voltages I believe but aren’t dangerous.
The pictures explain what resistance VR you’ll need. I don’t have any really GOOD
pictures of the soldering, but it doesn’t really matter–I have it depicted rather
well in these pictures.
