ASUS - A7N8X Standard/Deluxe BIOS 1002A

February 26th 2003 | Hardware

Asus has released a new BIOS update for their A7N8X Standard and Deluxe boards dubbed 1002A. The most obvious update to the BIOS is the keenly awaited activation of Q-Fan - The Asus temperature-based fan speed controller. In order to use it though, you have to plug your CPU fan into the PWR Fan header.
Other fixes include increasing the sensitivity of the sensor IC, and there have been reports of apparent improved RAID and IDE drive detection times, and improved OS speeds.
