Aspire X-Navigator Aluminum Case Review

October 15th 2004 | Cases & Acc.

Aspire’s new X-Navigator Aluminum Case (more specifically the ATXA8NW/500 Series, reviewed today) is a journey of theirs that has been in R&D for the last year, and it seems to have paid off. The exterior design is simple, yet has a nice flair about it. The flowing lines, both on the ‘X’ shape and on the lower fan grill culminate nicely around the front I/O ports that also contain a digital temperature readout and a fan controller housed in a swanky chrome bezel.

. . .Even with its minor drawbacks, the X-Navigator works, and works rather well, plus it’s damn stylish. Using the tried and true Chieftech / Chenming base, Aspire has built upon this with their multiple colored glassy faceplates, blue LED goodness and the stylish yet useful temperature monitor / fan controller with USB & FireWire ports. With enough ventilation to cool an auditorium, the X-Navigator is geared to those in the “Performance” category as well. This makes the Aspire X-Navigator great in both Style AND Performance. The X-Navigator is an excellent addition to Aspire’s already huge lineup. Bravo!
