The Sansa m230 has features that set it apart from the chrome ’n’ white masses, such as a voice recorder, digitally-tuned FM radio playback, and support for MP3s, WMAs, Audible audio-books, and DRM-protected WMAs. Many players out there will not let their owners play copy-protected music, so this is a plus for anyone acquiring their music online and legally.
SanDisk has created a player that is cheap, yet resilient enough that the end user won’t mind kicking it around a bit. While it won’t work directly with iTunes, this is definitely a great product for those using programs such as Winamp and Windows Media Player for their digital music playback. And even if you’re using iTunes, just make sure you rip your music to MP3 (and not AAC) format—you’ll be golden.
