Though it did not seem like anyone really needed another version of the iPod, the Nano reflects a maturation of Apple’s flash-based players into something much more powerful than the Shuffle or Mini. From a price standpoint the Nano is still not the most efficient choice, but it is functional and quite stylish.
While there is no sure-fire iPod Nano killer on the market, there are a few great alternatives. Unless you are an Itunes fanatic it would be smart to consider some of the alternatives before choosing the Nano. Sandisk’s e200 looks like it could be the best alternative to the Nano at the moment, but getting the public to accept a substitute is never easy. Either way consumers should be happy because there are some really well designed flash MP3 players on the market.
