Killing the iPod mini series rather abruptly, Apple has replaced them on the very same day with the introduction of the iPod nano, an ultra thin full-featured iPod that can hold up to 1,000 songs. Based solely on flash memory technology, the iPod nano is quite literally shock proof (relatively speaking as compared to hard drive based players), which is very friendly to sport freaks who would like to indulge in music while engaging active sports. Even if the player were accidentally dropped, you wouldn’t have to miss a beat, as there are no moving parts such as those on hard drive based players.
There are several new features added to iPod nano such as the "Sleep" mode where it hibernates without turning the unit off completely and others and we bring you a pictorial overview of them.
