ALBATRON – Albatron KX18D Pro II Motherboard Review

October 24th 2003 | Hardware

An impressive spec list (nForce2 Ultra 400 + MCP-T), handy proprietary motherboard features and a decent bundle all add up to make the KX18D Pro II an attractive package from Albatron. Robert Kong reviews, here’s a snip:

Throughout the time when I evaluate this board, I have to say that this is the most pleasant nForce 2 Ultra 400 board that I’ve ever tested. Comparing to our previously reviewed nForce 2 Ultra 400 board, Epox 8RDA3+ and ABIT NF7-S, I would like to admit that both of the board’s stability couldn’t match up with our Albatron KX18G Pro II here! I didn’t encounter any hiccups and it ran smoothly all the way to the end of our testing day! Looking at the features offered by the board, I must say that I am really satisfied with the board that has to offer which includes LAN, audio with SoundStorm technology, firewire, and Serial ATA! What I love the most about this board are the Voice Genie, a voice-based system diagnostic, as well as the BIOS Mirror that comes with two BIOS!
