Hans Chang reviews Albatron’s IGP mATX motherboard, the KM18G-Pro (nForce2-G):
After being quiet for quite a while in 2003, Albatron brings us its latest offering, KM18G-Pro, based on Nvidia’s nF2 IGP chipset. There is also the KM18G-Pro II motherboard. The KM18G-Pro II supports 2 firewire ports while the KM18G-Pro does not. North Bridge – The IGP on the KM18G-Pro is an A3 revision chip. Nvidia has an integrated heatsink on the nF2 chipset to help heat dissipation. (Note: Nvidiahas taken out the integrated heatsink on the latest chipset revision.) South Bridge – The south bridge used is the MPC chip, thus there will be no support for Dolby Digital output and dual LAN capability.
