Acer Revamps Notebook Strategy

Acer said that it has revamped its 2006 strategy for its mainstream and entry-level notebook lines without adding to production costs. In addition, chairman JT Wang stated that major desktop contract maker Foxconn Electronics will be able to help fulfill Acer’s desktop PC shipment goal, with Foxconn’s well-supported supply integration.

Acer finalized its 2006 product roadmap in the middle of January, with a significant change in the look of its mainstream and entry-level notebooks, the company noted.
