NVIDIA GeForce 6800 and GeForce 6600 GPUs Default on All ABS Ultimate Gaming Systems
ABS announced today that it has chosen the NVIDIA® GeForce™ 6 Series of graphics processing units (GPUs) as the default GPU in its award-winning ABS Ultimate Gaming series of high performance computers. The ABS Ultimate Series of computer systems are designed with only top quality components and built with reliability and performance in mind. The choice to use the NVIDIA® GeForce™ 6 series of products, including GeForce 6800 and GeForce 6600, demonstrates ABS’ commitment to providing next-generation technology without compromise.
"Our decision to use NVIDIA® GeForce™ 6 series products was based on the fact that they excelled in our own testing and benchmarking against similarly priced products. With an advanced feature set including support for Shader Model 3.0 as well as the ability to take advantage of future features such as NVIDIA SLI™, the 6 series is the preferred choice for the PC enthusiast," said Albert Wang, head of ABS Computer Technologies, Inc.
"ABS has built a reputation in the gaming community for assembling cutting-edge components into a fast, stable computer system," said Jeff Fisher, executive vice president of worldwide sales at NVIDIA. "By standardizing on the NVIDIA GeForce 6 Series of GPUs, ABS is ensuring that their systems will deliver blazing graphics performance and provide their customers with a forward-looking feature set designed for next-generation gaming titles."
The NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Series of GPUs are based on an innovative new 3D graphics architecture that is the first to deliver Microsoft® DirectX® 9 Shader Model 3.0 support for ultra–realistic image quality and a superscalar 16-pipe design for unmatched performance. The GeForce 6600 GPUs share the same advanced feature set and have an eight pipe superscalar design. Only NVIDIA GeForce 6 GPUs offer NVIDIA UltraShadow™ II technology to deliver blazing speeds on next-generation, shadow-intensive games such as Doom 3. GeForce 6 GPUs have a dedicated video processing engine that delivers superb high-definition video playback and benefits from the renowned compatibility and reliability of the NVIDIA ForceWare™ software suite featuring the NVIDIA unified driver architecture (UDA), custom game profiles, NVIDIA nView™ multi-display software, and much more.
