Abit NF-M2 nView mATX Review – Geforce 6150, nForce 430

December 19th 2006 | nForce4

AMD CPUs are in a state of flux at the moment, with the recent launch of the FX-70 series and the new LGA array that is replacing the Socket AM2 platform. The new nForce 680a motherboard has two CPU sockets. The NF-M2 nView uses the Socket AM2 platform that is still relevant for most people, as the new platform is just entering the market.

The other important feature of the NF-M2 nView is the integrated video. Key features of the nForce 6150 integrated video include support for DirectX 9.0c Pixel and Vertex Shader 3.0. The key features of SM3.0 include longer Shader Programs, Vertex Texture Fetch, Dynamic Branching in the Pixel Shader and Vertex Shader. The GeForce 6 series upon which the 6150 is based upon is now over 2 years old, but is an excellent choice for now, as nothing on the market at the moment is better in features or performance.
