ABIT AN8-SLI Review

December 5th 2005 | nForce4

ABIT’s AN8-SLI offers everything you expect in the form of ABIT’s uGuru overclocking and system monitoring chip, ABIT Q-OTES with heatpipe technology, ABIT AudioMAX daughter card and ABIT CPU ThermalGuard technology. As the name depicts the AN8-SLI is based on NVIDIA’s nForce4 SLI chipset with two PCI-Express x16 slots (in either 16×1 or 8×8 configuration), SATA2 RAID, IEEE 1394a Firewire and Gigabit Ethernet.

The ABIT AN8-SLI comes with solid performance, stability and overclocking features at a decent middle ground price tag. The board offers a lot, but not quite enough to bowl us over. The price difference between the KN8-SLI and AN8-SLI in the UK seems to be justified, but it doesn’t if you’re buying in America.
