Just around a week ago, people started to find a new revision of the Nforce2 Northbridge on their new boards like the latest 8RDA+ and the NF7-S Rev 2.0. These newer NVIDIA crush 18D chips come with the code A1 printed on top and are identified by CPUID to have the stepping C1. The ABIT NF7-S Rev 2.0 just arrived in Singapore and I was lucky enough to get hold of 2 boards for review. Before this I was running a NF7-S Rev. 1.2 with an A3 Northbridge right before this. Upon removing the heatsink on the Northbridge, I was greeted with an all black A1 chip. The previous A3 chip has a silver circled core with black perimeter.
