7 nForce2 Motherboards Roundup

Dogman takes seven nForce2 boards for a quick spin at The Crucible:

Dual channel arcitecture has really started to catch on. Nvidia, being the first company to deliver this technology to the masses, now brings us nForce2. The big brother to the ill fated original nForce chipset that never quite did what it was hyped to. NForce2 however not only picks up the ball, but runs it in for a touchdown. Currently the fastest platform for AMD chips, nForce2 has really delivered, and right when Nvidia needed it. Although the Via KT400a chipset is right around the corner. Tests have still shown that the nForce2 still holds a slight (approx 3%) lead. Over the past couple weeks, TheCrucible has been testing every nForce2 mother board that we could get our hands on. A total of seven boards were tested from the following manufacturers: Abit, Asus, Chaintech, EPoX, Leadtek, MSI (Microstar), and Soltek. All boards were run through a series of severe tests. And in TheCrucible tradition we overclocked these babies until they screamed. The results may surprise you.
