Datel has announced the impending release of a bundled 4GB hard drive and double length battery for Sony’s PSP. The hard drive connects to the PSP via the memory stick slot and is cased in a design to match the look and feel of the machine itself. The massive 4GB of space is more than currently available on Sony’s Memory Stick format for the PSP and should allow storage of up to eight feature films with decent quality.
This hard drive is being bundled with Datel’s X2 battery, which replaces the standard PSP battery and has been claimed to last twice as long. The bundle will also include a USB to USB b cable for connecting the PSP to a PC. Thanks to the bundle, users of the X2 battery will no longer need to worry about the symmetry problems posed by adding on to the PSP, as both are roughly the same size.
